Neck & Upper Back
We may evaluate neck or upper-back discomfort, stiffness, muscle tension, and changes in comfortable movement after an accident.
PERSONAL INJURY CHIROPRACTIC CARE
An accident can affect more than the exact place that hurts.
At Trinity Chiropractic Center, we take time to understand the accident, your symptoms, how your movement has changed, and what areas of your body may have been affected.
From there, Dr. Branden can determine whether chiropractic care is appropriate and build a plan around your individual findings and response to care.
START WITH THE WHOLE STORY
The details of the injury help us understand what your body experienced.
We'll talk through how the accident happened, where you felt the impact, what symptoms you've noticed, and what activities have become more difficult or uncomfortable since the injury.
Dr. Branden considers both your symptoms and how the affected areas are moving and functioning.
The goal is not simply to find the spot that hurts. It's to understand the musculoskeletal changes that may be contributing to how you feel now.
AFTER A COLLISION OR INJURY
The areas we evaluate depend on what happened and what you're experiencing afterward.
We may evaluate neck or upper-back discomfort, stiffness, muscle tension, and changes in comfortable movement after an accident.
Impact can also be followed by low-back or pelvic discomfort, tightness, or difficulty with normal movement and activity.
Muscles and fascia surrounding an injured area may become sensitive, tight, or restricted and may need attention as part of care.
We also consider what has changed in daily life — driving, working, sleeping, exercising, turning your head, bending, or other movement.
LOOKING DEEPER WHEN APPROPRIATE
An accident doesn't automatically mean every patient needs X-rays.
Dr. Branden considers your health history, the type of trauma, symptoms, and examination findings when determining whether imaging is clinically appropriate.
When X-rays are appropriate, they can provide additional information about spinal structure and help Dr. Branden determine what type of chiropractic care may — or may not — be appropriate.
SAFETY COMES FIRST
Some injuries require additional medical evaluation or different imaging before chiropractic care should begin.
If Dr. Branden believes your injury needs evaluation by another healthcare professional, we'll recommend that rather than trying to treat something outside our scope.
YOUR CARE
Personal injury care may involve more than one approach depending on the joints and tissues affected.
01
Adjustments may be used to address areas of restricted joint movement when chiropractic care is appropriate.

Dr. Branden may use focused hands-on work to address significant muscular or fascial tension surrounding an injured area.

Graston Technique® instruments may be incorporated when significant soft-tissue tension or restriction needs additional attention.

Technique and force may need to change after an injury.
Dr. Branden considers the type of injury, your level of discomfort, imaging when appropriate, and how your body is responding before selecting an adjusting technique.
Early visits may look different from later visits as irritated areas settle and movement begins to improve.
Technique selected around the injury
Force adapted to comfort and findings
Soft-tissue care added when appropriate
Recommendations change as you progress
CARE & DOCUMENTATION
Personal injury care isn't only about what happens during the adjustment.
Your history, symptoms, affected areas, and relevant findings are documented when you begin care.
Changes in symptoms, function, treatment, and response to care are documented throughout your visits.
Re-evaluations help us compare where you are with where you started and determine whether care recommendations should change.
With the proper authorization, records and billing documentation can be provided when needed for your personal injury case.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We want you to understand what we're evaluating and why.
We start with the accident, your symptoms, and how the injury has affected everyday life.
Dr. Branden evaluates the affected areas and determines whether imaging or additional medical evaluation may be needed.
We'll explain what we found and whether chiropractic care is an appropriate part of your recovery.
Care may include adjustments, manual therapy, or IASTM depending on your individual findings.
Your response is monitored and care recommendations can be adjusted as your condition changes.
RECENTLY INJURED?
Chiropractic care is not a substitute for emergency evaluation after a serious accident. If your symptoms or the circumstances of your injury suggest that another type of medical evaluation is needed, please seek appropriate medical care.
We want to be one part of the right healthcare plan for you — not the only option regardless of what happened.
